Το έρημο σπίτι
Κοιτάζω το έρημο σπίτι
με τα ξεδοντιασμένα παράθυρα
στόματα που χάσκουν
τις πόρτες που ανοιγοκλείνει
αδιάκοπα ο άνεμος
Τώρα μόνοι ένοικοι οι αράχνες
υφαίνουν μικρά σάβανα στις γωνίες
Πόσα όνειρα είχε ζεστάνει
στα γυμνά δωμάτια
πόσα μετέωρα φιλιά στα ξεφτισμένα
ταβάνια ;
Πού χάθηκαν οι γιορτές
τα περίλαμπρα φώτα
οι φωνές των παιδιών
τα ξένιαστα γέλια ;
Πού πήγε η αγάπη που το τύλιγε κάποτε
λευκό συννεφένιο πάπλωμα ;
Τώρα το χτυπούν αλύπητα οι άνεμοι
το βαραίνουν αβάσταχτα τα χρόνια

the toothless windows
gaping mouths
doors ceaselessly opening and closing
by the wind
Spiders , the only tenants now , weaving
in corners , small shrouds
How many dreams hatched
in these naked rooms
How many kisses suspended
under the fraying ceilings
What happened to the celebrations
the brilliant lights
the children's voices
the carefree laughter
Where is the love
that enveloped it once
as a white cloud quilt
How the wind buffets it mercilessly
How heavy the the years weigh on it !

the dove of peace is aimed
and fired
danger of conflagration
seats of war everywhere
Dead soldiers with eyes of glass
children wondering why
what kind of world is this
what are we giving to them ?
Stupidity of humans at its best
Greediness has a big mouth
which devours lives
I run you run we all run
Fear is chasing us
fear , this monster that eats my heart out
slowly and mercilessly

Το περιστέρι στο στόχαστρο
Κίνδυνος ανάφλεξης
εστίες πολέμου παντού
νεκροί στρατιώτες
με γιαλινα μάτια
παιδιά απορημένα
Τι κόσμο τους παραδίνουμε
μωρέ ;
η μωρία των ανθρώπων
σε όλο της το μεγαλείο
Η απληστία με αδηφάγο στόμα
καταπίνει ζωές
Τρέχω τρέχεις τρέχει
Μας κυνηγάει ο φόβος
Αυτό το θηρίο που τρώει
την καρδιά μας
αργά και βασανιστικά
Βιογραφικό:Η Πόπη Παντελάκη γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα καιεργάζεται σαν καθηγήτρια της Αγγλικής Γλώσσας σε ιδιωτικό και δημόσιο τομέα για πολλά χρόνια.Ξεκίνησε να γράφει ποιήματα απο νεαρή ηλικία και κάποια απο αυτά δημοσιεύτηκαν σε περιοδικά σπουδαστών.Απο τότε αρκετή απο την ποίηση της έχει δημοσιευτεί σε Λογοτεχνικά Περιοδικά και ποιητικές ανθολογίες και βραβεύτηκε σε Λογοτεχνικούς Διαγωνισμούς.
Bio:Popi Pantelaki was born in Athens and has been working
as a teacher of the English language in private and public sector for
many years . She has started writing poems at an early age and some of
them were published in student magazines . Since then much of her poetry
has been printed in literary magazines and poetic anthologies and were
awarded a prize in competitions .
